Breakout
Sessions for Girls:
Art Workshop (ages 6-8)
Girls ages 6-8 will enjoy this hands on art workshop. During their
breakout sessions, girls will be able to create two special Mother’s
Day surprises. Hands on opportunities will allow them to express
themselves in a new art medium as well as express their love for
Mom!
Cookin’ Up Fun (with Shirley Dawson)
There will be separate cooking sessions with Shirley Dawson, one for
girls 9-12 and one for girls 13-18. In each of these sessions, girls
will be able to watch as Shirley prepares recipes and demonstrates
cooking techniques appropriate for each group. Girls will not miss
any details of the food preparation as they watch an
over-the-shoulder perspective on the overhead screens. No cooking
demonstration would be complete without tasting the finished
product. Everyone will certainly enjoy sampling the goodies! Each
girl will receive recipe cards to take with them to begin their own
collection. They will also receive some special take home souvenirs
to inspire their own recipe creations.
RU Stylin’ (with Beleza Day Spa and Salon)
Girls ages 9-12 will be amazed to step into the spa environment
created just for them. There they will be taught how to properly
care for their skin and how to handle the difficult skin issues
faced in the teens years ahead. Girls will be selected from the
audience to serve as demonstration models for skin care and hair
care demonstrations. They will be able to get questions answered
about the use of hair care products and accessories.
Girls ages 13-18 will step into the spa environment to learn about
the latest trends in fresh make up looks and hair styles. Hair and
make-up trends will be demonstrated on volunteers. This will be a
great opportunity for girls to find out how to have great hair
styles without sacrificing the condition of their hair.
All the girls will leave this session with samples of the spa to
take with them.
